Linda & John's Ascot Engagement

They say a good friendship is the best foundation for a romantic relationship, and you won't hear any arguments from this lovely couple.  

John and Linda told me they had been friends for five years before they started dating. "We actually grew up in the same suburb and lived only two streets away from each other," Linda said. 

I met John and Linda when we got together recently to shoot their engagement photos at Garvey Park in Ascot, WA.  

From where I was behind the lens, you could tell this place held meaning for Linda and John. They often ride to Garvey Park to have picnics by the river, and John even proposed to Linda here. It seemed only fitting to shoot their engagement photos here too.  

Capturing what they both love to do together, in a place that has so many memories for the two of them, resulted in some beautifully relaxed moments where their connection shines through.
