Helen & Christo's John Forrest National Park Wedding
I already knew Helen and Christo loved secluded natural settings, after their coastal engagement shoot at Burns Beach. So when they chose an idyllic bush setting for their wedding, I knew I was going to have plenty of amazing scenes to choose from. It was a warm Perth day, but it was certainly cooler under the shade of the towering gum trees at John Forrest National Park.
A cheeky kangaroo almost stole the show, just before the bride arrived. And then Helen’s gorgeous nephew had a shot at stealing the limelight himself, as the ring boy. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed mingling in the courtyard, with drinks and an antipasto table kick-starting the festivities.
In the meantime, the bridal party and I went to a secluded spot in John Forrest National Park that Helen had chosen for the bridal portraits. It was a fifteen-minute walk (which was much easier for me than the bridal party) but the trek was well worth it in the end.
Helen and Christo did an impressive job of planning a lot of the wedding themselves, with beautiful results. I have it on good authority that everyone danced the night away under fairy lights and the open sky.
It was such a pleasure photographing your special day, Helen and Christo – thank you!
